ALL-STAR WEEK!

Well me and Mykl talked about how we are going to do this and we decided that since this week's games are Mid-Way through, next week will be All-Star Week! EAST-WEST and it will be in Hawaii instead of the Championship which will be held at a non-MLF team's Field.

I will get the rosters up tonight, we are going to take the top-stat leaders and players of week and stuff like that, after we expand some more we may start voting.

The Starters play in the 1st and 4th Quarter while Second Team plays in the Second Quarter, and the 3rd Stringers/2nd Stringers play in the 3rd Quarter.

The QB Depth Chart will look like this

Replacing TC

Well since TC did what he did, we're looking for new owners.

2 people have PM'd me asking if they could get in on the fun. They memebers are Throwback, and TalktoChuck.

Throwback got to me first, so he will get the expansion team, and I told chuck that if someone drops out, most likly johnny, Chuck will replace him.

Throwback said he'd like the team to be in connceticut.

Anyone object?

I also said that TC could still be a fan, and follow the league, but not own a team.

This is a debate me and Mykl have been having for which records to use. I personally think it's stupid to not use the overall records because every team plays every team the same amount of times (intra-conference). So what do you guys think, overall or conference?

Gladiators to wear Throwback Uniforms Saturday!

Alabama Gladiators have announced they will wear the Birmigham Fire's Uniforms this weekend, the Fire were a team for the World League of Football aka NFL Europe, the team only lasted 2 seasons but was apart of the NFL's first Minor Football League, the Gladiators plan to reconize most of Birmigham's Semi-Pro teams with a Throwback Week every season. Here is a quick mock-up of what the uniforms will look like.

San Antonio Logo Announcement

It has been announced that (at least for this season) the Nightmare logo will remain the same as it was. This decision will stand until next season, when it will be re-evaluated. Also the logo has been cleaned up using Vector Magic. Here it is.

So with that update the Nightmare will rest their logo crisis, until next season. Here is the re-vamped 3D logo.

I hope everyone is happy with this decision, I know Mykl won't be, but I like the logo how it looks now.

Expansion announcement

(Las Vegas, NV) Commish Michael Taylor has spoke with TC on the boards about an expnsion team. If no one objects, he'll be added to the league.

I also want to bring this to the table. how are the teams going to get players?
I guess we can have an expansion draft, with players like Vick, and Adam Jones. Then we should give them some back up players that don't get much playing time.

The team will be located in Orlando

MFL Concepts

Hey guys I made some concepts for Boise, and I changed the colour for San Antonio. Here's the logo I made for Boise...

Come on, I HAD to do that. No really, I have a Boise concept. Brown, and Red don't look good together, so I changed red to orange. Enjoy.

Next, I changed the mane of my horse logo, from orange to red for San Antonio.

Kevin, the horse looks better white. Logos look very bad, if the main colour, is darker than the outline. GhettoFarmBoy even said that. I've been working on a concept for about a week for Pearl City. I decided to just post it here.

Other News, Quincy Carter was benched after a poor 4 INT performance to Alabama, he had 3 INTs against Pearl City, Las Vegas announced immediatly after the game that Ryan Leaf will be the starter vs. Boise this weekend. It will be Leaf's first Football apperance since his downfall n the NFL.

So far no other teams have announced any depth chart arranges are Trade possibilitys.

btw, my next will be for Boise. I also would like to say that I don't like the gold for the Louisville logo. It seems like it has green tint. Can we change that? To a different gold, or back to the original yellow?

Amid National Buzz, Kings Lose 10-3 to Pearl City

MEMPHIS (AP) - The buzz could be felt all across the nation as the recently-reemerged King of Rock & Roll Elvis Presley bought an MLF team, the Memphis Kings, to play this season. That buzz got even bigger as, following a heartbreaking 27-24 loss to the Alabama Gladiators in Birmingham, the Kings were all set to take their anger out on the visiting Pearl City Tropics.

Thus, the stage was set on a sunny 58 degree day with 14 mph winds at Liberty Bowl Stadium for this showdown, preheadlined by the 73-year old Presley being the MC for kickoff ceremonies, with the sold-out crowd of 62,380 vibing right along.

However, there wasn't too much to smile about right after that, as a low-scoring affair kept plenty of fans bored and inspired them all to take naps. They didn't miss too much, as the Tropics came out on top by a score of 10-3.

"I've learned that off the field promotions won't work if your team isn't competitive on the field," stated Elvis in a post-game interview. "That's why I'm hiring my PR man Michael Burmeister to handle on-field duties as General Manager, while I'll concentrate on ownership and promo-where I'm best at. Now, if you'll excuse me, we've got some Redhawks to shoot down on Thursday night! Thankyouverymuch!"

As Elvis said, the Kings' next game will be at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium on Thursday, January 15, when they play host to fellow winless Eastern Conference team the South Carolina Redhawks at 7 PM EST.

Week 2 Wrap up

I guess I'm about to start a series, wrapping up the week that was, MFL football.

In our Thursday night game, Louisville beat out Boise 14-10, with Aaron Brooks passing for 212 yards, and 2 TD's

The 2nd game of week was a match was between Pearl City, and Memphis. Pearl City pulled it out 10-3, led by Jason White, who had another great game. People are already whispering about the MVP award going to the Pearl City Quarterback.

The 4 O'clock game was a match up of the original 2 teams, Las Vegas, and Alabama. Alabama smashed the Aces 17-3, Aces QB Quincy Carter threw 4 interceptions, 2 of which went to Alabama Corner back Tim Jennings, led to his benching for next weeks game.

Now the last game of the week, South Carolina lost to San Antonio in a squeaker, 7-6. Marcus Vick helps his team win their 2nd game.

Week 3 games will be interesting. The top two in each division play each other, and the bottom two in each division play each other.

Alright, it is something I havent thought about till now, sizemore pointed it out in the Las Vegas Benching Carter News, he said they could just get a run heavey offense which is Avalable, I have just let everyone play with the default playbooks which are Chicago Bears on both Offense and Defense.

So everyone is now encouraged to pm or email me telling what playbooks you want to run. It will be yours from now on unless you want to change which agian you would need to pm me (from the boards) or email me.
