San Antonio Nightmare Script Logos

JNutini was gracious enough to make me some beautiful script logos to finally finish off the identity of the San Antonio Nightmare. Again to recap, logos by firefly, uniforms by Nole42, and scripts by JNutini. Here are the script logos for your viewing pleasure.

Kevin's Not Suspended

Okay Mykl and I argued over this for like an hour, and so much for "Mutial Decisions" He really wouldn't listen to any case I had so I just told him to do whatever since he wasn't listening to me and He made a post saying Kevin was suspended for 10 days or something like that but I told him thats pointless, and that if the two Commishes can't decide together, then we shouldn't make a ruling at all. So Kevin consider us Cool because I just took away your 10 game suspension that Mykl gave you. Yeah I pleaded for it but in the end I told him to do whatever, so really I had no say in the suspension. I think that we all need to quit criticizing each other and make sure you dont act immature about C&C and arguments, thats not just pointed at you Kevin, its at me and TC and Beast Mode and really everyone (even though I know some of you had nothing to do with this). So lets put this all in the past, no hard feelings and lets not have this happen again.

Also since Mykl and I can't make a mutial decision (mostly because he thinks its all funny and trys to ignore everything) any decision such as a supension will be made by the whole League by votes.

My TAtC

So its available

Hawaii Tropics Look Into New Stadium

HONOLULU (AP)- Hawaii Tropics owner and GM Alex Carson announced today that the Tropics are looking at building a new stadium to replace the aging Aloha Stadium. "We're looking at a waterside site at the moment. There will be more to come in the next few days," the owner said. He went on to mention that more than just a football field could be involved in the project.

The Tropics kick off their second season at the Alamodome Sunday against the hated San Antonio Nightmare.

Navy TAtC

Well Throwback I didnt forget about you, it just took me a while to finnaly render this. Anyways Throwback asked me to do a TAtC uniform based on this, and so my uniforms are preety much exactly like that except I added some numbers and changed the red square things to yellow. The socks/shoes are the same color and solid to try and create a boot type look. He also asked me to try the Star Destroyer on the helmet, and I did my best of making it look like a logo. I can change it if you want.

Edit: Oops I just noticed I forgot to wrap the jersey belt around the back, I'll fix it if you like these.

On the Navy's Logos

Were using the anchor logo, although I'd be willing to use a slightly updated version.

Were using the uniforms I first unveiled.

… and the script. If you have something, please send it to throwback.ccslc@gmail.com . The font hat *I* used and would like to continue is here:
          http://img.dafont.com/dl/?f=xxii_dont_mess_with_vikings

Lastly, the TAtC's: gimme' your worst.

I hope that clears Some things up. The new logos look great, big thanks to elliott for that, (hey, maybe you could top it off with a new league logo?). I look forward to the season to come.

Week switch

See post below. Week 4 works the best.

So
Week 1/ ALB @LV/ SA @BOI/ PC @QUE/ ALA @CON/ MEM @LOU
is now
Week 4/ BOI @LV/ ALB @LOU/ PC @SA/ QUE @CON/ MEM @ALA

Schedule

Mykl you need to post the schedule again so everyone can see it, also what about switching Week 1's games with another week's games. Because I dont really like the idea of just playing Week 1 games back-to-back, we should have different matchups. Now all we are waiting on is Kevin's uniforms, is there anytime you plan on announcing those?

Idea

Alright so on the boards, I've been keeping up with this project by one of the fantasy leagues. It's not to much a style guide, but more of a media guide. Its basically the same thing, but more.

http://www.jimwornell.com/nabaFPO080609.pdf

We could have a page for logos, and all the jerseys. We'd make it on Powerpoint or something. Idk, TC and I like that idea.

Edit: Just trying some stuff. Note, I am not switching to Browns jerseys.

Inkscape

Who uses inkscape here?
Cause maybe you can help making new style guides?

Mike, don't object because they'll be "dirty". Vector looks really clear.

What about a chat tonight? I got nothing. Unless I'm talking to one of my lady friends...

Edit: Just playing around with the logos.
Here are all the game logos too. They're bigger, this is just all of them in one pic.

Alabama Gladiators New Identity

Well its been a long time in the process, at first it started as a new Secondary Logo but turned into rebranding the Gladiators logos and many other teams as well. The Gladiators have a whole new logo set to unveil today, created by Elliot. The Primary is a 3-d Gladiator Helmet which is a update of the former Primary logo. The Secondary is a G with a Sword down the Middle and the Wordmark is a beveled font, which we are extremely happy with. We think the new logos gives us one of the best sets in the league and with new logos comes new uniforms as well.
Logo Sheet

Despite the fact I liked last years uniforms, I decided to go a new direction, it's preety much a update of the retro set from last season, the sword stripe moves to the sleeves and it has a consistent piping outline around it on every jersey. The pants are preety much the same, however they go all the way to the end of the pants and they are pointed, the collar also has a sword effect. The Helmet is the same except the stripe no longer pointed and the new logo. The number font is a modified block font. We really like the new uniorms, the TAtC are going to be the same however I will get a new rendering of them up soon.

Polaires Action Template

I put the Polaires new uniforms on an action template to give everybody a different perspective. The uniforms on the top right and top left are the ones that are being voted on in the poll.

Here's a link. I'm thinking the navy top helps balance out the colors better. No light blue socks, I tried it, horrible. Also if you want your uniforms on this template I'll gladly give it a shot. I just need the logos in vector or just a large picture of them and the number font.

New Stuff

Alright, so it looks like we're about to restart the season, so that's the biggest news right now.

What about renaming each season "Season #" Since this summer season has really been delayed.

Vote for TC's Home Primary. I like light blue.

Mike, any time frame for a start?

San Antonio Nightmare Concept

Alright as y'all know Kevin and the Nightmare just got a new Logo Set, and I think it fits the team perfect and gives us a new unique team as far as colors go. Kevin didnt ask me but I thought I'd go ahead and try out a concept for them, it's also one that I can actually make on Team Builder exactly the way it is. I also did a TAtC set for them and a new wordmark since Firefly has not made one.

Logo Sheet (Logos by Firefly)

TAtC Uniform - Since the Logos have Skeletons and Flames I tried to lean to that, obviously it's not completely accurate as far as a human skeleton goes but I had to modify it to fit the uniform. The Numbers are the same font as the wordmark, I could use them for the uniforms as well but I was trying to go for a more classic feel for them. The Front was hard enough so I figured yall got the idea and I didnt do the side and back views.
Alright C&C, I'm going to make an update for the Gladiators whenever I release the logos and I am going to work on the Navy's TAtC uniforms.

Les Polaires De Quebec Unveil New Identity

It's been kept fairly quiet, but yes, the Polaires become the latest team to get a revamp. The logos were designed by Elliott. I wanted a nice, clean update for the Polaires, and I think he did more than accomplish that. Here are the logos:

The uniforms were designed by Elliott, then I took them and made a few tweaks. The uniforms are pretty old school, with a modern touch. There are six total different uniform combinations.

The field is pretty standard. I tried to incorporate as much of the identity as I could. Instead of the usual thick, white outline around the field, I used navy to make it a little more unique. The primary is the midfield logo, and the wordmark is displayed in both endzones.

I would like to thank Elliott for designing my logos, and really for designing logos for all the other teams he did, fantastic job. The uniforms aren't set in stone just yet, so I'd like to hear your thoughts. Also, with the new identity will come updated Turn Ahead the Clock uniforms!

Logos

Alright, we have 6 teams with set logo sets. And we need to finalize these.

San Antonio- What's the word on your decision on Firefly logos?
Alabama- Elliot' is finishing your logos
Boise- Was elliot's set final? Idk, I just REALLY like orange and brown.
Quebec- You told me what you're doing so, no worries.

This league is looking really good right now.

Elliot, can you email me the logos you made? If you use vector, great. If you don't, just send large logos, and I can make them vector. Thanks for making all these logos, you did a great job.

Just wondering if...

Do you guys think I should put a request up for a new identity package? I know I just re-did my team, but I'm sure somebody on the boards could come up with logos better than mine. Or I could have them update the logos and make clean it, etc. and make it look more professional. It couldn't hurt to try right? So do you think I should ask or should I just drop it?

Thursday, October 8, 2009

So I was sitting at the computer bored...

... and I thought of this.

-Many teams have changed their identities. Tweaks were made by Vegas and Memphis and overhauls have been made (or are being made by) Boise, Alabama, Hawaii (formerly PC), San Antonio, Louisville, and possibly Connecticut while Quebec and Albuquerque want to keep their current identities.

-It's been like what six weeks since our last game?

-As an owner that won in "Week 1" I support making "Week 1" a preseason week and re-starting the season with the real Week 1 in the next couple weeks.

-Who's with me?

-Also the Trops now sport the best identity in the league.

-Also I think Mike should use the live chat for the games so he can just enter what goes on on each play instead of having to pause it. It would make things go so much quicker.

EDIT: Sorry for cutting into your post Sizemore... But ya'll should respect women because they're smart, and have bewbs!

this was a public service announcement brought to you by Commishiner Michael... the red haired one.

Fer your health.

Oh and it's been 10 weeks.

New game logos

Hey, while doing the Aces logos, I thought of a new type of logo for game posts. It'll be clearer since I made it on inkscape. Here's an example.

So will that do? I went for simplicity. We could do script logos if ya'll wanted, but I'm just pitching this idea.

Aces, Kings Revamp Logos

Like I said, the Aces would revamp their logos if you will. I want to have a classy look, one that will stay for a long time. The Kings was more of just a clean up of their old set. But here they are!

Im gonna work a little on the kings logos, so stay tuned.

Season Delay

Alright guys, waited a couple days to let the news sink in that Throwback is going to be a daddy. But it's time to get back on top of things, for one thing I would like everyone to get their identitys updated. I know alot of teams have been wanting makeovers and thats fine but we need to get them all done as soon as possible. My logos are still in the works I think, elliot hasnt sent me an update of the logo set since I last talked to him so I need to ask him when he thinks he can do that. I think Quebec was the only other team. Sizemore you need to post your new set soon just to finalize it, I think you should ask for an Orange Alt too. So after we get all this straignted out we will look at some times I might can stary simming games again.
