Another thing Quebec should do is let Stafon Johnson go full time, he's had a couple 100 Yard games, and McAllister has just been terrible this season. Plus they have to win the next one to get in.

Wow... this just turned everything around. Tropics need a win this week though.

Mike, what exactly are the tiebreakers? It's this right?

1. Division Record record
2. Head-to-Head record
3. ???

What does come next? Point differential in H2H games?

Big Mike said...

I was thinking about that too, I would say H2H point differential.

Michael said...

GOD DAMMIT KEVIN

Kevin said...

EAT MY ASS MICHAEL!

TC said...

God dammit. Can you switch my offense to something suitable? Maybe something pass heavy, but I'm really not sure.

Crash said...

Yeah, it really's starting to look like NCAA11 is definitely pass-favorable.

To be honest, I'd do the tiebreakers like so:

1. Head-to-Head
2. Division Record
3. Record Against a Common Non-Divisional Opponent*
4. Head-to-Head Point Differential?
5. One Game Playoff (which remember, we can do since we are a sim league. lol)

*Example: If Boise beat Quebec but Lincoln lost to Quebec, then Boise would win the tiebreaker by having a better record in common games (say 5-4 vs 4-5, it's the third tiebreak in the NFL).

But, since Division Record is already the 1st tiebreaker, we should do it like this:

1. Division Record
2. Head-to-Head Record
3. Record vs Common Opponents
4. H2H Point Differential
5. One Game Playoff

Crash said...

Here's the teams that the common opponent tiebreakers would apply to:

East
Connecticut (1-0) and Quebec (0-1) - Lincoln

West
Hawaii (0-1) and San Antonio (1-0) - Memphis

Big Mike said...

Yeah I'll switch you to the Air Raid TC. Also Sizemore I like the 2nd the Tiebreaker you came up with.

Crash said...

Aight cool, I'm gonna sim the Hawai'i/Louisville game now but I'll post stats tonight around 7.

Big Mike said...

Holy Shit Game Winning Hail Mary haha, Notable Game!

Big Mike said...

The San Antonio-Las Vegas game should be a Notable Game too, any suggestions for the name?

Big Mike said...

Also Sizemore whenever you post Louisville's stats, I'm going to copy Hawaii's and paste it under Louisville's so they can be together.

Oh, and here's what's going on in the West:

Las Vegas needs a Boise loss against Lincoln and then a Boise win against San Antonio, combined with a win over Alabama in Week 10.

Boise needs to win against Lincoln this week and San Antonio next week. They control their own destiny.

San Antonio needs to beat Boise. They also control their own destiny.

If Boise loses to Lincoln in Week 9, beats San Antonio in Week 10, and Alabama defeats Las Vegas in Week 10, there will be a three-way tie. The tie would be broken by H2H point differential, where San Antonio currently leads by 28 points.

Crash said...

Oh, the final stipulation for tiebreakers is, if there's a 3-way tie, if you can eliminate one team from the tie, you re-start the tiebreaker. (i.e. if Team A and B had the same +4 PD and TEam C was -8, then A and B would reset at the top again to re-break the tie, looking at H2H then common (if applicable), then back to PD in common games.)

The other tiebreak we could add after PD in H2H games is PD in division games, then in common games, then overall. Thoughts?

Big Mike said...

I have no idea what you just said lol :P

Crash said...

Okay, here we go in simple terms.

You break a 3-way tie until one team wins or one team is eliminated. That'd leave 2 teams left, so you'd break the tie then as a 2-way tie. All the leagues do it this way.

And then here's what it'd look like after that:

1. Division Record
2. Head-to-Head Record
3. Record vs Common Opponents
4. H2H Point Differential
5. Division Point Differential
6. Common Opponents Point Differential
7. Overall Point Differential
8. One Game Playoff
