All-Star Game

So, it's been over a week since we finished Week 5, so are we even having an All-Star game at this point? What's the exact point of doing it now? I'd have simmed the game a while back if that was the issue, however there are no rosters for the ASG. There have been multiple instances in which I would have been able to sim games, but there isn't a game to sim. I just think that we should move on and not have an ASG so we can get the meaningful part of the season done for, and inch closer to Season 3, hopefully this summer.

Yeah I guess we can, I've been so busy lately that I'm thinking I might have to step down and leave after this season, I hope not but we will see.

This is sad...

Gah! This league is like a vegetable, its clinging to life with machines, pumping its heart and making it breathe. Have any of you thought it might just be best to pull the plug?

I think we should eat the vegetable. That, or plan a single elim. tourney to end the league. Organize something nice and put the league down right, instead of just not doing it anymore.

Hey, I'll sit here and say that I'd be simming games this week if we choose to go against the ASG idea. Actually, I'll just start simming Week 6 and if we want to do the ASG have it after Week 6. Baseball starts for me next week, but I think we should keep whoever wants to stay for a quick turnaround on a Summer Season for Season 3, and let the people that wish to leave go.

So in conclusion, Week 6 starts around 3:30 this afternoon.

Well I know there are quite a few people who would like to take over spots for the Summer season, but the league will most likely drop in quality (design wise).

Eh, depends IMO. I mean, as long as we can get quality requests filled for our team identities, we'd be fine. I'd be willing to step into a leadership role for next season if necessary.

Also, I'm stuck at school - so I can't sim tonight. Or tomorrow most likely. We'll see though. Maybe Friday I'll sim one, better yet maybe two.

The last thing this league needs is a game that means nothing. Keep simming season games and go from there.

I think the best thing to do is finish the season out and then get together and figure out what the best way to go forward is. I'm also willing to step into a leadership role if granted a team, but I'm afraid I cannot sim any games as I don't own an Xbox.

The best thing to do is sim each game and post scores and stats and, if you want, a paragraph or two about each game. That shouldn't take long at all.

Simming games shouldn't be the issue, especially during the summer.

Alright, I have decided that I am not leaving after this season. (Jesus Christ I flip flop more than Brett Favre) Anyway, I am willing to put forth the effort to help the league keep going. I think if we can just pull it together and finish this season up, we can do a little restructuring this off-season to make the league more efficient. We could get through the summer season in a pretty consistent fashion (little to no delays in weeks) and figure out a way to make a season during the school year easier. Yeah I kinda rambled on here but I'm a little excited for the future of this league.

Yeah it would be really hard for me to leave because I love how unique the league is and its really fun when we have the time to do everything. I think we should skip the ASG though and maybe we can have it after the season/playoffs. I want to stay but I may have to take a lesser role. I wouldn't be able to sim as much because real life has just been getting in the way too much.

Next year, I'm likely to not be playing basketball or baseball, so that'll clear up the winter a lot more for me.

I recently got an xbox, but I'm not planning to get NCAA (planning on mw2) so if anyone decides they ant sim games I could step up

Beast Mode said...

I can sim too, but no one's asked me to.

Well I did the math and if we want to finish the season by the end of May there needs to be a game simmed about every 3 days. I'm fine with super-simming or whatever it's called, it's not like I go through and read the entire timeline from the games.

sizemorematters said...

Yeah exactly, I prefer it as the simmer - it's how the NHA does things. So, super sim and stats? I might be able to do a couple this weekend... we'll see - I've got friends visiting from Iowa...
