Johnson is coming back to the Gladiators!

Rudi Johnson introduced as a Alabama Gladiator.

PRESS CONFERENCE 8:00 PM HOOVER, ALABAMA - "Good Evening everyone, today is a big day for the Alabama Gladiator Franchise and Gladiator Nation. We have been in talks with Connecticut and we have reached an agreement that will send the Season 2 MVP back to Alabama." The deal sends 2 players and Alabama's 1st Round Draft pick for the Navy's star running back. Connecticut had 2 running backs that were possibly up for sale after Ahman Green had a breakout All-Star season while Johnson was injured. Green will be bumped up to a 87 overall this season and will be the new starter. Rudi drops 1 point from his 90 overall to 89 after sitting out most of the season, he still finished in the top 3 rushing. Michael Harbison also had this to say, "We are very excited to make this deal because we have gained a offensive Superstar, we needed one since Michael Vick is now leaving for the NFL. We are going to try and play Marcus Vick at Quarterback and move Roy Upchurch over to Wide Receiver for the tournament, if they play well, we will likely trade our replacement signing for Michael Vick, if not we will sign a new QB and possibly shop Upchurch or one of our big 3 Receivers." Okay so enough talk, here is the deal broken down.

Alabama gets:
RB Rudi Johnson - 89

Connecticut gets:
RB Michael Smith - 84
DT Grady Jackson - 84
1st Round Draft Pick (8th Overall)

The Navy gain an advantage to their Defensive Line, now Aleric Mullins (84) will slide over to Left Defensive End to make room for Jackson. This is an upgrade because their starter before him was Angelo Craig who is a 74 overall. Smith will likely be a backup and could move to Receiver or Return for the Navy. This is also Rudi Johnson's 2nd turn with the Gladiators, he was a vital part to their East Champion team in Season 1 and almost helped lead them to a Championship.

Alabama puts RBs on Trading Block

Press Conference from Hoover, Alabama: "Alright, with the All-Star break coming up and the Trade Deadline next week, the Gladiators have decided to put Michael Smith/84 and Roy Upchurch/82 (going to go up to 84 or 85 because he is 3rd in the league in rushing yards) on the block. We only want to trade one of them and would like a defensive tackle in return, Alabama also would be willing to trade Grady Jackson with one of the backs for a starting Defensive Tackle. Although he won't be able to play until the playoffs. We would also be more willing to trade Smith then Upchurch but we are willing to listen to any offers for both." Michael Smith is also a Kick Return Specialist although he does not currently return for Alabama. Upchurch was rated as one of the top Athletes coming into the draft, he can play Wide Receiver or Fullback.

Alabama and Quebec finalize Blockbuster Deal!

After long hours of tough negotiating, Alabama Owner Big Mike and Quebec Owner TC have finalized a blockbuseter Draft Deal.

Alabama will send a Quality QB Chris Leak (West All-Star MVP) to Quebec, where he will likely serve as a backup, or a starter if needed. His Rating is an 80 overall, unchanged from the start of last season after a rollercoaster year.
They also send a very good LB in Junior Seau, one of the games greatest who will not play MLB for Quebec but move to their weekest LB position (LOLB 75 overall) and become the starter. Seau is an 82 Overall Player.
Rounding out this part of the deal, Alabama will send their 2nd Round Draft pick (18th Overall) to Quebec.

In Return for all of this Alabama will now recieve the 3rd Overall Pick (1st Round) in the MLF Draft.

Alabama owner Bigmike says he is very happy with the deal and TC said he feel's good about it as well. Quebec will get a Quality QB, a Starter in Seau which feels up a Draft need, and get's an extra 2nd Round Pick. While Alabama will now have the 1st and 3rd Overall pick in the Draft.

Trade Deadline has passed!

Well the Trade Deadline has officially passes for this season, you are allowed to make trades with EXPANSION teams, but that is it now, it is fine to do so because a deal between the 2 can't be done officialy until the end of hte season. We had one BIG deal on Deadline day today between South Carolina and Pearl City:

PEARL CITY GETS:
SC HB Travis Henry/ 87

SOUTH CAROLINA GETS:
PC 1st Round Draft Pick
PC HB Kevin Faulk/ 81(^82)

That was a preety big deal and Pearl City got the Runningback they have been looking for after losing Rudi Johnson. Alright so Week 6 is done, we only have 4 Regular Season games left!

Tropics Trade Faulk

HONOLULU (AP)- The Pearl City Tropics have accomplished their primary goal, acquiring a top running back by trading Kevin Faulk and a 1st round pick for Travis Henry.

Deal by the Deadline!

Alright guys, tonight at 12(Midnight) et, 11 ct is the Trade Deadine, only one deal has been made this season and so far looks like it has worked great for both teams (ALA-Johnson, BOI-King,Irons), it looks like San Antonio might be after a QB, after Leak's poor performance, so is Leak on the block? If so is anyone intrested in the 81 Overall player, he is only 23 and could be a franchise QB but has been shaken up the past couple of weeks and has thrown some picks. The other big question out there is can Pearl City get the Top notch RB they want? Many questions that could be answered but are unknown as of now.

My thoughts on what the best moves might be?

Well there are alot of possibilities, one could be

San Antonio going after Tim Couch (77, got a 2 point bump for first half performance while Detmer got 3 and hit 78), or maybe even Quincey Carter (77, dropped 2 points), or they may sit back and look to draft a QB, which leads me to my next observation, trading up, they could possibly make this trade wit Sout Carolina.

SC Gets:
SA QB Chris Leak - 81
1st or 2nd Round Draft pick - (1st Round Projection as of now: 6th Overall)
(2nd Round Projection as of now: 16th Overall)

SA Gets:
SC QB Tim Couch - 77
SC 1st Round Draft pick - (Projection as of now: 3rd Pick Overall)

Of course just throwing ideas out there, but we will see if anyone steps up and trys to make a Deal by the Deadline!

Week 6 here we come!

Alright it has been a long 2 week Break at the middle of the season but I am eager to get this started back up, Of course it will be a great matchup with the Gladiators and the Tropics, bashing heads in Pearl City, as Birmingham has had a nice 3 week stay in Hawaii, they hope they can close it out with a win. All talks about the Under Aromr "Jersey Cuts" are being delayed till the off-season, no one needs to say much about them until this season is over. The Cuts will likely be passes but even though there will be around 5 to choose from, there will be different aspects to the jerseys that can be added or taken away (piping and UA "horns").

This is Trade Deadline week as well, All trades within the 8 teams for this season cannot be dealt later than Monday 12et AM, or Sunday 11ct PM, Teams can negotiate with expansion teams after the Deadline, since deals will not effect the 2009 Winter Season.

Mykl and I have talked and the Jersey Cut's will not come till next season, Mykl had though that was the plan the whole time where I was confused, I KNOW what cuts are, and we will figure this all out very fast and easily this off-season, but I am NOT HYPOCRITIAL (looking at you sizemore...for calling me out), I just think this is being blown up too much and it is not a big deal this season, Im wasnt trying to be a d*ck about all of this but I wanted to get it sorted out, sizemore not trying to call you out but you have been all over me about all of this so just trying to clear it all up.

Alright pm me or mykl, or just comment if you have questions. I have the Schedules and all updated, I will work on the PTW's Photo, we still have to vote for Week 5's.
Hope to have a good week and we are almost more than halfway through through the first season!!!

Rudi Johnson heading to Alabama! In return for King and Irons!

Alabama owner Big Mike from Honolulu Hawaii -

"Hello everyone, I have enjoyed ny stay here in Hawaii, and am glad I get to stay for 2 more weeks before leaving, I have just talked to Grizzle's owner Beast Mode, and we have come to agreement on a deal today! Rudi Johnson is now a Alabama Gladiator, and we have sent our backup QB Shaun King (74) and RB Kenny Irons (79) to Boise. Beast Mode liked this deal better than the 3-way deal between ALA/PC/BOI, either was fine with me but I knew I wanted a deal done and I am verry happy with this trade! As for Johnson, we dont know what we will do with him, right now it's up for grabs. We are not open to any trade offers for him for this season, but we are going to wait for the best one, We will be playing him at Fullback, or having a 2-RB system, since Sproles is small and speedy, and Johnson is Power and can Score alot easier."

The trade as been officially made and here is the deal broken down more.

BOI Gets
----------
ALA QB Shaun King - 74
ALA RB Kenny Irons - 79
___________________

ALA Gets
----------
BOI Rudi Johnson - 84 (Rating Bumps 3 points to 87 after this week)
BOI Chad Hutchinson - 72

Alabama has announced that they plan on keeping Rudi Johnson for the rest of the Season and will be using him at Fullback and a "Redzone" Halfback, if Sproles struggles he will move back to Runningback. We plan on trading him at the end of the season, mainly looking for a top draft pick.

Alabama/Pearl City/Boise 3-way trade

After the All-Star Game we caught uo with Alabama owner Mike H., and asked him about the trade rumblings. He had this to say, "Well we had offered Boise a 2-way trade at first, but looks like it will turn in a 3-way with Pearl City, I am not giving up Sproles! He has played great and had a MVP performance tonight, I would have not minded having Johnson either, but in the end I wanted to keep Sproles. I think we will go with sizemore's first revised offer.

ALA GETS
------------
PC 1st Round Draft pick
BOI QB (Hutchinson or Stewart)

PC GETS
------------
BOI RB Rudi Johnson

BOI GETS
------------
ALA QB Shaun King
PC RB Kevin Jones

"I really like the sound of that trade, I rather have Kordell Stewart on my team in the future, his rating value will probably go down to 77, and I think he could be a great backup and Veteran Teacher to David Carr and Jared Zabransky. I also would love to have another top draft pick, we can build up our team even more next season." Mike said in his closing statement, Pearl City and Boise have yet to reply to the trade offer, although sizemore was the first to talk about this, and will probably accept the offer.

Trade Offer

Well sizemore has offered SA and BOI a 3-Way Trade

BOI trades RB Rudi Johnson to PC.
PC trades 1st round Draft pick and Kevin Faulk to SA.
SA trades Chris Leak to BOI.

It is not official by all means but it has been offered, Team Owners negotiate!!!

Off Week

Well since I have had to sim some games this week, and it is a busy week as well, I think we sould take a off week next week as well.

For one thing I have Finals next Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday and I really need to study for those. Also I am heading to Durham, North Carolina Saturday, and won't return till Tuesday. So really I am not going to have any time to sim games.

It would be a benefit to this league as well, why? Well with all the Trade talk swirling around it could be a Trade Deadline week, and I could update ratings, also since we have soo many guys available for Draft next year, if we could figure out the salary situation (no one would reply) we could have some of the guys enter the league as Free Agents and bid on them. Which would be a ton of help to the guys looking for new QBs since thier are so many.

Please Tell me if you like this idea, LOU/MEM start in 30 minutes

San Antonio Looking for Quarterback?

With the, so far, uninspiring season by Chris Leak are the Nightmare looking for a trade? Reporters claim they overheard, team owner, Kevin Cormier saying just that. They claim he said he was willing to trade draft picks, and even franchise players for the right compensation.

Pearl City Tropics Look to Acquire Top Running Back

HONOLULU (AP)- sizemorematters, owner of the Pearl City Tropics said today the team wants to acquire a top running back for the playoff run. "After last night's disappointing loss, we feel we need to get another piece of the puzzle in place to become serious contenders. We are willing to trade Kevin Faulk and (a) draft pick(s) to acquire this top tier running back. The guys we're looking at are Redhawks RB Travis Henry, Nightmare RB Shaun Alexander, Aces RB Kevin Jones, and Grizzlies RB Rudi Johnson."

Week 3 on the way!

Alright guys we have succesfully gone through 2 weeks already. This will be a fun week because we have the Top 2 Teams facing off.

East
Alabama @ Louisville

West
Pearl City @ San Antonio

Possible Conference Championship matchups? Too early to tell as a win by the bottom teams might help them get back in it.

Other News, Quincy Carter was benched after a poor 4 INT performance to Alabama, he had 3 INTs against Pearl City, Las Vegas announced immediatly after the game that Ryan Leaf will be the starter vs. Boise this weekend. It will be Leaf's first Football apperance since his downfall n the NFL.

So far no other teams have announced any depth chart arranges are Trade possibilitys.

I also need playbook options from the following for next week.

Las Vegas - Mykl/raysox
Memphis - boneheadz/mburmy
South Carolina - Johnny???
Boise - chickenfish

Please send me your playbooks or they will be the default ones!

Also tell me if anyone else has wants to change up thier starters or if anyone wants to put a player on the Trade Block ( Once someone is I will make a Gadget on the Side called Trade Block where everyone can look at and make a possible trade)

Can't wait for this week's games!

Week 2 Transactions

Alright guys, you do know you can trade players as well. Now I am not crazy about doing that, especially in a league like this where most players are balanced but everyone should know that. Now no one probably wants to trade after the 1st week, considering no one knows that much about there team yet.

The Trade Deadline will be Week6, on Tuesday, 2 days before games start so I can update rosters if needed.

Now another thing is, we will have a Rookie Draft, same format as NFL, so by week 6 we may be able to tell the outcome of the Draft order and you might want to sacarfice a big player for a good draft pick, maybe a older player? or something like that.

Also
I would like for EVERYONE to comment and tell what uniform set they would like to where this week, if no one replys I will just take the Defult Home/Away.

I am assuming Louisville will where Gold on Thursday, I think everyone should wear thier alts on Thursday night games. Someone may want to where thier altenate set anyways though, even on Saturday, and i have a Alt. Away so anyone else who has that may want thier team to wear those.

Alright, I am going to make a new poll discussing the South Carolina Owner Crisis.
