Back on Track!

Alright everyone, I know stuff has slowed down lately especially with trying to decide how we were going to simulate it. I know Mykl and sizemore are still here, so is everyone of the original owners still here?

We need to know, some guys we havent heard in a while is (boneheadz MEM, chickenfish BOISE, Johnny SC, and BJB) I am assuming Kevin is, and Im not trying to ask if yall are still on board, just making sure yall are paying attention and know whats going on, and if you are not on board please let us know!

I guess I will be doing simulation, I will try and get RBs and FBs up soon, prolly Sunday, I hope we can get most the drafts done next week since we are on break (or at least I am).

Glad to see we are getting back on track and everything though, oh and make sure to get your jerseys and logos up if you havent yet, I will be back on doing the Under Armor Shop Jerseys.

Als any ideas on All-Star game's name, and/or jerseys, logos, stadium, etc.

I think we should have it somewhere in a pro stadium, and keep it the perminent place.

Allright Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone hope this gets some replies especially from the guys I named.

Schedule

Alright, so I made a schedule for the league and will post it here. Each team has at least one home game on each of the nights, and each week each conference has one game. 4 teams have an extra night game this year and are Pearl City, San Antonio, Memphis, and Louisville. So without further adieu, here is the schedule for our first season:

Now, don't complain about how you only got 2 home night games Alabama, South Carolina, Las Vegas, and Boise, you'll get three next year. I think we realistically need to only expect to get 6 or 7 seasons in '09 and '10 because we need more than one week for free agency and the draft. Also, if bigmike goes on vacation or something, we'll need to take a week off. And we need to realize one of us will eventually leave us, similar to what happens in the fantasy leagues over at the boards, so we'll need application and etc. time for the new franchise(s), or if we ever have an expansion, we'll need to figure out how to do that.

On Board?

Okay this is weird to me, this site was skyrockiting at first and it seems like no one cares about it anymore, we dont hear from most the people who joined. I dont know if Johnny has even seen the logo we got for him. I just wonder why it has all slowed down though, its like ever since the QB draft everyone has lost intrest, I just wonder why everyone has bassically given up. I guess we will get more post after the Voting but I hope those who want sim sites dont drop out if Madden wins or vice versa. So is everyone still on board and if so everyone needs to talk about the next Draft we have after the poll closes.

I would really like for everyone to reply to this because I for one want to get this league rolling and start the season soon.

RB Draft and MLF news!

Alright everyone, this has slowed down once again, we got to get rollin like we did, we HAVE to get this drafts outta the way so we can play soon, because if we wait to long it could take months to get drafts out of the way. So once again

we have to decide when the RB draft is, and we might as well go ahead and have the FB draft too, so I will post its order in a while, we will probably only have 2 rounds for Fullbacks. Alright also I think I have a idea for salary caps, Okay well ever since me and mykl talked about this on CCSL, I have been thinking about it, We think there are going to be a couple of "seasons" in one year, I think we should be able to do 4 easily, maybe more, but we do need to figure out how many seasons we will play because it has to do with the contracts I am thinking about.

Alright we need to write down a max. salary cap and I guess give contracts to our players, you can go up to 8 seasons (2 years) and when they are free agents in the off season, we could have a 2 week span where we bid on free agents, of course it would cut out of your salary cap so there shouldn't be one team "stacked" with goo players. At the end of the free agent period the teams with the highest bid on a certain player gets him. A bit complicated but it could work.

Of course we would have to make a system where you have to pay stars/starters more than your backups, or you could just pay them all min. wage and have a bunch of money, which would not be fair so we got to make an amount range you have to pay certain overall players.

Also I will post some templates for everyone like the ones me and kevin used recently. Chickenfish also used it just without a person in the uniform.

It would be nice if you used those though because it includes what you want with your home, away, home alt., away alt. You can only have four sets, because that is all Madden will allow. Maybe We can have a throwback weekend some time where you have to where [USFL, NFLE (used to have american teams), or WFL]. For now though you need four sets maximum.

Alright so everyone needs to reply to this mainly for RB draft day purposes, I will get the ratings up when everyone decides what day.

The MFL Championship for this season will be in Honolulu, Hawaii at Aloha Stadium!

Season Schedule

One thing I was thinking is if that a player got hut, how could we carry it over into the next game. I think that if we play everyone twice (14 games), and then tack on the playoffs, we could do it in the tournament mode with double round robin and single elimination 4/6/8 team playoffs. The only bad thing is we would really lose the conferences. And would we have an all-star game?
