Player of the Week Photos

Alright I've been slow with these lately, I'll work on Jason White for Week 5 next, and then I'll do the All-Star MVPs. For now here is Week 1's Player of the Week, Lincoln Pioneers Safety Justin Woodall. The rookie had a huge game with 2 interceptions and a kickoff returned for a Touchdown to lead the Pioneers to their franchise's 1st regular season win and a huge upset over the defending champion Polaires.

Week 4 PoTW

Alright this week's winner was Gladiator QB Michael Vick, he was well deserving after leading Alabama to win over the rival Quebec. Vick had 334 passing yards which is the 2nd most in a game this season (Plummer had 344 in Week 2, which he won PoTW), he also had 4 passing Touchdowns. He was the first QB to go over 1000 yards this season, with Plummer following him, and both are now tied for 2nd in the league in Passing Touchdowns. Also you will notice that the Gladiators have now switched the facemask from red to black on their helmets. It has been like this all season but I never said anything about it haha.

Week 3 PoTW

So last week Memphis beat Alabama in thrilling fashion with the game going into not 1, not 2, but 3 overtimes, in the 3rd, Roy Upchurch fumbled and it was recovered by Defensive Tackle Rod Coleman who returned it 60 yards for the Game Winning Touchdown. He also had 5 Tackles, 1 of them a tackle for loss. He is the 2nd Defensive player to win this season, and the first Memphis King to ever win Player of the Week. Here is a snap shot of him running with the ball toward the endzone.

He is now 1st in the league in passing yards with 612 yards. More importantly he helped his defending Champion Polaires pick up their first win of the young season against the Navy.

Thursday Night (I'll Sim this one)
Lincoln (1-0) @ Boise (1-0)

Game of the Week (Friday)
Alabama (1-0) @ Louisville (1-0)

Friday/Saturday or Sunday ( I can sim one or two of these)
Quebec (0-1) @ Connecticut (0-1)
Memphis (0-1) @ Hawaii (1-0)
Las Vegas (0-1) @ San Antonio (0-1)

Also FS Justin Woodall of the Lincoln Pioneers is Week 1's Player of the Week. I'll wait to do the photoshop until Lincoln releases their uniforms. Bmac who is doing your logos and uniforms? Just wondering. Also Sizemore from now on let's do the Game of the Week on a seperate post as the Week Reports. That way we can have the link for it and you can do a more detailed Recap. Maybe try Youtube again? Since it worked pretty well for the Championship.

P.O.T.W: Hawaii HB Ian Johnson

It was a close race, as it had to have a tiebreaker and Ian Johnson still only one by one point in the Player of the Week voting. The Pearl City runningback ran for 147 yards on 26 Carries, he had a rushing Touchdown, and 4 Broken Tackles, his longest run of the night was 42 yards, here is a snapshot of the Player of The Week.

The runner up was Louisville DT John McCargo who had 4 sacks in last weeks game. We will see if he can top Ian this week or if someone else will step up.

The rest of this weeks games will be simmed Tommarow night, and this weekend, I am staying home this weekend so I should be able to sim the rest of week 2's games.

MLF Network

Okay TC mentioned this the other night in a chat we had, and think it is a really nice idea, it would make a good place for interviews, player of the week news, polls, and more. I may start a blog today with the title, and I would for anyone who is intrested to be authors, possibly every owner here, we could still post press conf. and polls, and p.o.w links here, but we could give a full story on a MLF Network blog, we could also have concepts posted there too. I plan to do Style guides for each team from last season and this season as well. So I figure that will be the first line of buisness I do on the blog. Again anyone who think's its a good idea just tell us what you think about it and if you wanna join feel free to, I give TC credit for "greenlighting" this site.

Alright sounds like everbody likes the idea so far, but I wanted to give a Sneak Peek to what the Style Guides look like, Mykl gets credit for preety much coming up with the idea and creating one for the Aces llast season, but I thought I would play around and make a new template, I used a different Football template, it is Bucco's and I think Cab from the boards made it paint compaitable. I decided I would only fit 2 uniform sets on each because I want to document ALL the uniform's that have beeen worn so there will be a "Special" Style Guide Template that will feature the Alternate Uniform and the Promotional Uniform (Retro Week, TAtC). Anyways Starting with the Reigning Champs.

Also I decided not to post numbers with the different backgrounds just to keep it less clutered and since the numbers/names are all paint compaitable, they are very easy to change. If you want to save these, you should probably let me e-mail them too you so they will be clean images and work in paint.

Something cool.

If you search a player of the week name then football pictures, when you go to images, the shopped picture is on either the first, or second page.

That's pretty cool.

I'm doing the Albuquerque jerseys today.
